White after Labor Day??  Yes, most definitely!   Frankly, this rule is very outdated.  Rules were made to be broken, especially in fashion.

The only exception when considering wearing white, is the fabric.  When thinking about wearing white in the cooler…or cold months, make sure the fabric is winter-worthy.  Store your summer fabrics, such as linen and cotton, for next Spring/Summer.

How-To Wear White After Labor Day

  1. Layer white tanks and t-shirts under cardigans and sweaters.
  2. Pair white jeans with brown boots and a cozy sweater.
  3. Think structured and cozy for white outerwear.
  4. To make a white blazer more season appropriate, pair it with a knit and skinny/slim jeans.
  5. If white does not compliment your skin tone, trade it in for off-white, creme or oatmeal.

With some clever styling by layering and adding different textures, you can transition your whites into the cooler months.  Guys, this applies for you as well.

What are your thoughts on wearing white after Labor Day?
