Spring Trends 2012 (source: Elle.com)

Spring is right around the corner and so is spring fashion.  I know it’s hard to wrap your head around this since we are still in winter and possibly have a couple more months left of cold and some of that white stuff.  I say,” Bring on the Spring Trends of 2012″.

Fashion week  showcases designers’ looks and their take on the top trends.  The fashion is gorgeous and looks beautiful as it’s coming down the runway, but is it wearable?  The average every day modern women is not going to wear a daytime skirt with a thigh-high slit and a cropped sweater.   Kudos to you if you can!   Thankfully, fashion week showcased tons of fun and wearable fashion.

My favorite wearable spring trends involve color and details.  The colors range from icy sorbets to bold & bright hues.  If you love a pastel palette, try mixing it with white or another neutral hue.   Or get out of your black and grey rut and try a bold color.  If bold look-at-me hues are not your thing, try a pop of color in an accessory (a clutch, scarf, bracelet, or statement necklace).  It’s a great way to try a color without making a huge commitment.  Don’t forget about the details:  ruffles, prints (polka-dots, stripes &  florals), mixed media, contrast trims and shirring.  Again, definitely something for everyone!

What spring trends are going to make their way into your wardrobe?
